The Behavioral Health Unit at Regional West provides inpatient psychiatric hospitalization for children, adolescents, and adults who are experiencing acute symptoms of psychiatric disorders. Our highly credentialed and multidisciplinary Behavioral Health team offers a warm, safe, structured, confidential environment for symptom stabilization and improvement while providing comprehensive individualized treatment plans, individual therapy, therapeutic groups and activities, medication management, and coordination of care.
We specialize in trauma-informed care, as well as treating a variety of mental health conditions including anxiety, depression, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), co-occurring mental health conditions with substance abuse, and other mental health conditions.

The Behavioral Health Unit at Regional West is located on the fifth floor of Regional West Medical Center. We serve the residents of western Nebraska, eastern Wyoming, southwestern South Dakota, and northern Colorado. The unit accepts patients of all ages and operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
What therapies are provided?
We provide individual psychotherapy and group therapies.
Our 12-bed unit features:
- A central nurses station
- Swing bed options that allow the facility to maintain segregation of adolescent and adult populations, regardless of admission numbers
- An indoor recreation room
- Private meeting rooms
- Social rooms
