Dr. Haque Selected to Serve on Faculty of Neurosurgery Board Review Course
SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., ― Regional West neurosurgeon Raqeeb Haque, MD, was selected to serve on the faculty of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons board review course held recently in Phoenix.
The AANS Goodman Oral Board Preparation course is the flagship course taken by neurosurgeons immediately before they take the American Board of Neurological Surgery Oral Examination. Over 90 percent of oral board candidates attend the course at least once prior to taking the exam.
In 2014, Dr. Haque joined Regional West Physicians Clinic-Neurosurgery, where he practices neurosurgery with Omar Jimenez, MD, FAANS. Both neurosurgeons serve on Regional West’s Trauma Team.
In addition to their neurosurgery practice, both Dr. Jimenez and Dr. Haque serve on the clinical faculty of the University of Colorado, School of Medicine, Department of Neurosurgery.
Dr. Haque is a graduate of Harvard University and earned his medical degree at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He then completed a neurological surgery residency at Columbia University Medical Center, as well as a fellowship in Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery at Northwestern University.
Dr. Jimenez earned his medical degree at George Washington University School of Medicine and completed his residency in neurological surgery at Jackson Memorial Medical Center. He completed a fellowship in research at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine as well as a fellowship in Neurological Surgery at Jackson Memorial Medical Center in Florida.
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska has selected Regional West Medical Center as a Blue Distinction Center for Spine Surgery, as part of the Blue Distinction Specialty Care program. Regional West Medical Center is one of five hospitals in Nebraska to receive the distinction and the only one in western Nebraska.
