The Top Performer program recognizes hospitals for improving performance on evidence-based interventions that increase the chances of healthy outcomes for patients with certain conditions.

Regional West is the only hospital in Nebraska to be named in the top 10 percent of the nation for patient safety and a five-star recipient for treatment of pulmonary embolism and pneumonia in 2015.

Regional West Weight Loss Options has been designated as a Center of Excellence in Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery by Surgical Review Corporation. The Acute Rehab Unit (ARU) at Regional West Medical Center is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and by the Joint Commission. Certified AACVPR programs are recognized as leaders in the field of cardiovascular rehabilitation because they offer the most advanced practices available. Regional West’s cardiovascular rehabilitation program helps people recover faster from heart attacks, coronary artery bypass graft surgery, and other heart conditions, and improve their quality of life. The Regional West Air Link program was awarded a full three-year accreditation in 2013 by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems (CAMTS). CAMTS is a nationally recognized organization that ensures that medical transport programs meet national standards for safety, education, and training. Regional West Laboratory Services provides a comprehensive menu of clinical, anatomic, and cytologic testing services to support medical decisions. Regional West Laboratory Services is accredited by both The College of American Pathologists (CAP) and by The American Association of Blood Banks (AABB).
