Barrett Named Caring Kind Award Recipient
SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. – Gabrielle Barrett, RDMS RVT, has been named a 2021 Caring Kind Award recipient from Regional West.
Barrett, an ultrasound tech who works primarily with elderly patients, has been with Regional West for nearly four years. She was named the hospital’s STAR of the Year in 2020.
Regional West Imaging Services Assistant Director Josh Lively, BS, RT(R)(VI), said Barrett is a great example of what the Caring Kind Award represents.
“Gabby has really connected well in our department and community,” he said. “She is exactly the person I imagine when I think about the Caring Kind Award. She sees people exactly where they are at. She can warm up your day with her radiant smile and she will cry with you in a moment of pain. She comforts in those tough times. She truly cares for those she works with and all her patients. She has been a tremendous blessing to our department and hospital.”
The Caring Kind award, presented annually by the Nebraska Hospital Association (NHA), honors outstanding health care employees who have demonstrated compassion for patients, cooperation with co-workers, and dedication to excellence in their job responsibilities. Since 1979, Nebraska hospitals have honored their finest staff members with The Caring Kind Awards.
NHA member hospitals statewide are eligible to select one award recipient from their respective institutions to be recognized as The Caring Kind Award recipients.
