Regional West Cancer Services invites area residents to learn more on how to prevent colon cancer with a walk through a 20-foot long, 8-foot high colon. The Prevent Cancer Super Colon® is an interactive educational tool that travels to communities across America with the message that colorectal cancer is preventable, treatable, and beatable with healthy lifestyle choices and regular screenings.
There is no cost to attend.
Walk through the interactive super colon exhibit and learn more about:
• Healthy colon tissue
• Tissue with non-malignant colorectal disease like Crohn’s and colitis
• Colorectal polyps
• Various stages of colorectal cancer
If you’re age 45 or older, have a family history of colorectal cancer, or are experiencing symptoms, talk to your healthcare physician or provider about a screening colonoscopy.
