SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., ― Regional West is pleased to welcome a new surgeon to the medical staff.

John Wolen, MD, FACS, is a surgeon at Regional West Physicians Clinic-Surgery, Vascular Diagnostics. The practice provides comprehensive surgical services for the Nebraska panhandle and eastern Wyoming and, as the state’s only Level II trauma center west of Kearney, provides emergency and trauma surgery services for an even larger area.

Dr. Wolen earned a medical degree from Marshall University, Huntington, West Virginia, and completed general surgery residency training at the University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He has extensive experience in robotic surgery, breast surgery, trauma surgery, and thyroid/parathyroid surgery. Dr. Wolen is board certified in General Surgery.
