Three Prairie Haven Hospice Staff Recognized by State Hospice Organization
SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., – Three local women have been specially recognized by the Nebraska Hospice and Palliative Care Association for their work as end-of-life professionals with Prairie Haven Hospice.
Linda Rock, executive director of Prairie Haven Hospice, Scottsbluff, was awarded the Nebraska Hospice and Palliative Care Association’s highest honor, the 2012 State Impact Award, for her lifelong work at the local, state, and national level on behalf of hospice.
Rock has served as the executive director of Prairie Haven Hospice since it was founded in 1998.
The 2012 Spirit of Hospice Award was presented to Jeannie Hergenreder, administrative secretary, for her commitment and outstanding dedication to the hospice philosophy of care.
Marjorie Vojta-Elwood of Scottsbluff was recognized for her exemplary work as an “Outstanding Nebraska Hospice Volunteer.” She has served with Prairie Haven Hospice as a volunteer for five years.
