Regional West Foundation Awards Streeks-Brown Scholarship
SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., – Regional West Foundation is pleased to announce that Jessica Ann Bruce of Banner County is the recipient of the 2012 Marjorie Jane Streeks-Brown Scholarship.
The $500 scholarship is available to a Banner County High School graduate who plans to pursue a degree in a health care-related field at an accredited college or university. Bruce will pursue a degree in Human Resources and Family Science and major in dietetics. She plans to attend Western Nebraska Community College for her freshman year then transfer to the University of Nebraska Kearney.
The scholarship is awarded through the Regional West Foundation scholarship committee. Streeks-Brown was born in Banner County in 1918. She remained an active member of the community throughout her life and was a strong supporter of education.
