Free Diabetes Education Classes Scheduled at Regional West
SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., – Regional West Physicians Clinic’s Diabetes Care Center hosts free community education classes on the second and fourth Tuesdays monthly from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. All classes are held at Regional West Medical Plaza South, meeting room 1202, at 3911 Avenue B, Scottsbluff.
The public is invited to attend. No pre-registration is required. The January and February classes include:
January 11, “Nutrition, You Snooze, You Lose” presented by Marcia Bauer, RD, CDE, LMNT, and Mary Skiles, RD, CDE, LMNT, Diabetes Care Center dietitians.
January 25, “The Ups and Downs With Exercise and Diabetes” presented by Mike Moravec, PT, DPT, WCC, Monument Physical Therapy physical therapist.
February 8, “Heart Conditions – How Are They Diagnosed?” presented by Ward Krichau, RRT, NTEMT P, Regional West Medical Center respiratory therapist, EMT-Paramedic.
February 22, “Everything You Need to Know About Insulin” presented by Kellie Nevins, University of Wyoming senior pharmacy student, on rotation at Regional West Community Pharmacy.
Diabetes Care Center community education classes are a supportive, informational resource for persons with diabetes, their families and friends.
