Medical Society Hosts Golf Tournament
SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., - Raising money for a good cause doesn’t have to be boring or difficult. Join the Scotts Bluff Medical Society August 6 for the second annual charity golf tournament to benefit CASA. A CASA or Court Appointed Special Advocate is a trained citizen who is appointed by a judge to help represent the best interests of a child in court. Proceeds will also fund scholarships for area high school students pursuing a career in medicine and medical missions to foreign countries.
“We’re excited to announce the Scottsbluff Surgery Center as the event sponsor,” says Dr. Bryan Scheer, President of the Scottsbluff Medical Society. “As a result we are able to offer a fantastic first prize of four club level preseason Denver Bronco Football tickets as well as V.I.P. parking for the event.” Second and third prizes will also be awarded.
The cost is $50 per player or $200 for a team of four and includes lunch and beverages, cart and prizes. To register for the tournament, call Western Regional Orthopedic Clinic at (308) 635-8900.
Dr. Scheer is excited to offer the golf tournament for the second year on behalf of the Scottsbluff Medical Society.
“The society has always been active in the medical community but we hope to become more involved in our local community. Our goal is to raise awareness and promote more healthful lifestyles,” said Dr. Scheer.
