November is National Home Care Month
SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., - Regional West Home Care, which has served the panhandle for almost 40 years, is joining more than 20,000 home care providers throughout the United States in celebrating National Home Care Month.
Sponsored by the National Association for Home Care, the month-long celebration will honor the dedicated physicians, nurses, therapists, aids and social workers who work tirelessly to provide high quality care. Together with patients and their families, these caregivers design individualized health programs that enable disabled, recovering or chronically ill patients to receive treatment in their own homes.
“Regional West Home Care offers services from long-term home care to short-term care after a hospital stay. Sometimes as people age, they can’t get around their home as well as they used to. It’s hard because they aren’t ready for a nursing home, but the family worries about them staying home alone,” said Diana Rohrick, director of Regional West Home Care. “Our full service agency can help put families at ease.”
In addition to recognizing the caregivers who work to ensure that patients receive health care in comfort and dignity, National Home Care Month serves to educate the public about issues affecting home care and the home care services available in their local communities.
Established in 1967, Regional West Home Care became the first home care agency in Nebraska and is a member of the Nebraska Association of Home and Community Agencies whose motto is, “Your Home.
