Regional West Welcomes First Baby of 2016
SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., – Regional West Health Services welcomed the first baby to be born in 2016 at the medical center at 12:27 a.m. on New Year’s Day.
Noah Blake Desjardin was born Friday, Jan. 1, to Brittany Desjardin and Dylan Shoemaker of Alliance. He weighed six pounds, 15 ounces and measured 20 inches.
“My due date was Christmas day and when he wasn’t born then I was hoping I’d have him on New Year’s Eve,” said Desjardin. “I think he’s already showing us he’s in charge of things now.”
Charge nurse Melissa Guerrero, RN, of Regional West’s Birth and Infant Care Center, presented the family with a variety of baby gifts, which is a Regional West tradition for the first baby born each year at the hospital.
