Scottsbluff, NE – On Sat., February 20, Regional West Air Link invites paid and volunteer EMS squad members, nurses, and other health care providers to join us for a hands-on, interactive education session featuring speakers from South Dakota, Colorado and our own Air Link Medical Director, Peter Meyer, MD. The training will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the Harms Center in Scottsbluff. A complimentary lunch will be provided by Air Link. Wrap up with the University of Nebraska Medical Center HEROES program simulation lab is scheduled for 5 p.m.

Continuing education hours will be awarded for topics including:
-Professionalism and Motivation, presented by Allen Simons, NREMT-P, RN, Thompson Valley EMS.
-Therapeutic Hypothermia, presented by Tim Hutchinson, MD, Medical Director for Northern Colorado Med Evac.
-Competitive EMS Jeopardy, presented by Peter Meyer, MD, Medical Director for Air Link.
-Lead Your Peeps, Manage Your Scene, presented by Warren Shaulis, NREMT-P, RN, Black Hills Life Flight.
-Mobile Simulation Lab and EMS Obstacle Course led by Beth Beam, RN, MSN, University of Nebraska Medical Center HEROES Program.

During lunch, participants will have the opportunity to register for a drawing to be held later in the day. Two lucky winners will be able to utilize lessons learned during the Landing Zone update with the opportunity to ride in Air Link 1 helicopter.
