Regional West’s Rehab Center to Offer Preview Classes for Bingocize® Health Program
SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., ― On Friday, Nov. 15 and Monday, Dec. 9, Regional West’s Rehab Center plans to host free preview classes for Bingocize®, a new and exciting program that combines exercise, health education, and the classic game of bingo.
Each class will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. in Regional West Medical Plaza South, Conference Room 1, by occupational therapist Amy Veltri, OTR/L, and physical therapist assistant Terri Yanke. Bingocize® is a 10-week, evidence-based health program that incorporates the game of bingo with exercise and health education topics such as fall prevention and nutrition. In addition to improving mobility, Bingocize® can also offer an opportunity for new friendships and social connections.
Though the program is primarily intended for seniors, all are welcome to attend at no cost.
Yanke and Veltri said the preview classes are a great way for participants to get introduced to Bingocize®’s benefits before committing to the full program.
“These preview classes allow participants to see all the fun that Bingocize® has in store before we begin our 10-week program,” Yanke said. “We’d like to extend special thanks to Panhandle Public Health District (PPHD) for their work in securing the grant that has allowed us to become facilitators of this new opportunity.”
To register for the preview classes, or for more information, email Veltri at Amy.Veltri@rwhs.org, or call Yanke at 308-225-1552.
