Free Diabetes Education Classes September 28th and October 4th at Regional West
SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., – Regional West Physicians Clinic’s Diabetes Care Center will host a free community education course about insulin for people with diabetes and their friends and family. The public is invited to attend.
“Understanding Insulin: Myths & Realities” will be presented Tuesday, September 28 at 5:30 p.m. in the large conference room #1202 at Regional West Medical Plaza South, 3911 Avenue B, Scottsbluff.
The guest speaker, Gina Gaudefroy who has diabetes, will discuss misperceptions about insulin and the value of insulin as part of an overall diabetes treatment plan, which may include diet, exercise, and other diabetes medications.
On October 4, the Diabetes Care Center will present an additional community education program titled “Advanced Pumping.” The class will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Room 1202 at Regional West Medical Plaza South. Pump trainers from Animas, Medtronic, and Omni Pod will be available to provide current information about insulin pumps.
