When our patients need surgery or other medical care that requires anesthesia, our Anesthesiology staff makes the experience as safe and comfortable as possible.
Our Anesthesiologists develop an individualized anesthetic plan for each patient and employ a full range of techniques to ensure patient safety and comfort before, during, and after every procedure.
Regional West's board-certified Anesthesiologists, along with the hospital's Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), provide services for over 6,500 cases annually, including:
- Surgery
- Acute pain management
- Diagnostic procedures
- Obstetrics
- Trauma and critical care
Regional West Physicians Clinic-Anesthesiology works closely with the hospital's surgical specialists to care for a wide range of patients at Regional West Medical Center and the Scottsbluff Surgery Center. Surgical cases include: Neurosurgery with both intracranial and spine procedures; General Surgery services including non-cardiac thoracic, both open and endovascular procedures, as well as trauma; a Bariatric Surgery department that is nationally accredited as a Comprehensive Center by the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP); Ear, Nose, and Throat; Orthopaedic; Urology; Obstetrics and Gynecology; Plastic Surgery; Podiatry; and Oral-Maxillofacial.
Appointment No-Shows and Late Arrivals-It is the policy of Regional West Physicians Clinic to monitor and manage appointment no-shows and late appointments. Any patient who arrives 15 minutes after their scheduled appointment time is considered late for his or her appointment. Regional West Physicians Clinic will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the patient within the patient session or to reschedule the patient at the earliest possible time, based on the nature of the presenting reason for the visit and the patient’s wishes.
