A cancer diagnosis often brings with it very normal feelings of shock, helplessness and fear. We understand. At the Dorwart Cancer Care Center, we focus on our patients' needs through services offering the latest in diagnosis, treatment and support-all in a warm, caring environment. The approximately 7,500 square foot facility represents a team effort of physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals dedicated to the needs of cancer patients in the southern panhandle of Nebraska and northeastern Colorado.

Established in memory of longtime Sidney residents Dr. C.B. and Lucille K. Dorwart, the center is a service of Regional West Medical Center and allows area cancer patients the option of receiving radiation therapy services in Sidney, rather than traveling the sometimes-significant distance to other treatment centers.

In addition to radiation therapy, the Dorwart Cancer Care Center also offers access to medical oncology consultation, symptom management, patient education, support groups, dietary counseling, social workers, and rehabilitation.
