Regional West Honors Staff with 2020 Fourth Quarter Awards and Recognition
SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., ― Regional West recognized staff for years of service, as well as recipients of the STAR and PEARL awards for outstanding service and patient care, for the 2020 fourth quarter. Staff members are nominated quarterly by co-workers, patients, and visitors.
The STAR program at Regional West encourages staff, patients, their family members, and visitors to nominate staff who demonstrate outstanding care and customer service. Fourth quarter STAR award winners are Adam Ferguson, from Information Systems, and Jeremiah Reynolds, from Community Pharmacy.
The PEARL award recognizes staff for outstanding customer service, quality patient care, and teamwork. The fourth quarter PEARL award winner is Amber McCorkle, from Regional West Physicians Clinic-Family Medicine, Scottsbluff.
The Caring Kind award, presented annually by the Nebraska Hospital Association, honors outstanding healthcare employees who have demonstrated compassion for patients, cooperation with co-workers, and dedication to excellence in their job responsibilities. The 2020 winner was Chelsie Weidaman, from Regional West Physicians Clinic-Orthopaedics.
Regional West also honored and recognized long-term staff members who have worked for Regional West from five to 40 years.
20 Years: Betty Curtis – Regional Care Inc.; Shawn Fuss – Information Systems; Maria Elva Garcia – Case Management; Wendy Goos – Patient Access; Diane Panas – Information Systems; Melissa Rupp – Occupational Health; Catherine Safford - Environmental Services; Paula Sokol – Regional West Physicians Clinic-Psychiatry and Behavioral Health; Amy Winkler – Women’s Center. 25 Years: Lorrie Joplin – Operating Room; Alicia Snelling – Ambulatory Care Unit. 30 Years: James Holscher – Home Care Scottsbluff; Cindy Todd – Lab Administration. 45 Years: Peggy Strauch – Wound Clinic.
