Temporary Power Outage Scheduled at Regional West
SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., – Nebraska Public Power District has scheduled a six-hour power outage at Regional West Medical Center’s main campus on Sunday, June 5. The outage will last from approximately 7 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Patients and visitors may notice reduced lighting and other minor effects of this outage, but do not need to be alarmed. All essential hospital operations will continue on emergency backup power; however, the only elevators that will be functioning during the outage are the visitor elevators on the east side of the main hospital building and the patient elevator on the west end of the building.
Elevators in the North and South Medical Office Plaza and the Medical Office Building will not be functional during the power outage.
The purpose of this outage is to allow NPPD to replace a switch by the east parking lot along Rugger Drive.
