West Nebraska Blood Center Holding Blood Drive in September
SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., – Sixty percent of the U.S. population is eligible to give blood, yet only five percent of those eligible actually do so.
West Nebraska Blood Center at Regional West is actively seeking blood donors by holding a blood drive on Saturday, September 17 from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the donor center.
The blood center is located inside Regional West Medical Center on the first floor, just south of the Park Bench Café.
Blood drawn at the center is used to supply blood and blood products to Regional West Medical Center and other hospitals throughout the Nebraska panhandle.
Donating blood or platelets is a simple, safe, and easy process. To donate, you must meet the following requirements: be in good health, be 16 years of age and older, and weigh more than 115 pounds.
