Regional West Chooses Cerner as New Electronic Health Record Provider
SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., – Regional West Health Services is pleased to announce they have partnered with Cerner to provide a - new electronic health record that will improve the accessibility and functionality of medical data in a secure environment.
The Cerner system will provide a comprehensive record of both clinic and hospital visits which will be easily accessible to providers. It will also include a new, more user-friendly patient portal for health care records.
“The process to implement a new electronic health record system has begun, but it takes many months to switch all systems over and educate the staff on the capabilities a system like this can provide. Our patients should be seeing the impact over the next two years,” said Montie Hodge, Vice President Information Technology & CIO of Regional West Health Services. “Cerner is one of the leading electronic health record vendors in the country. By teaming up with them we have access to model processes from across the country. Patients will see many benefits once the system is fully implemented.”
“We look forward to converting to an exceptional online health record for our patients,” said John Mentgen, President and CEO of Regional West Health Services. “Our goal at Regional West is to provide a quality patient experience that includes not only the care they receive, but also the ability to access their online health record.”
