Ways to Give

Many believe that their donation to Regional West Foundation is an investment in the health of our community. Others believe that there is no finer way to honor a loved one or celebrate a special occasion. Some donors believe their donation to the Foundation is a fitting way to say thank you for the excellent medical care that they received. Whatever the reason, every donation is appreciated and put to good use. No gift is too small.

Donor Recognition

Foundation donor wall

The strength of our donor community is evident in every program or project we support. Your generosity paves the way for better health care, a stronger medical community, well-educated health care providers, and outstanding programs and events that contribute to our regional quality of life and health care. We take pride in honoring the many donors who generously contribute to Regional West Foundation.

Volunteers & Friends

Volunteer

At Regional West, committed volunteers have been a proud part of our heritage since 1950. Our volunteers come from all corners of the community and represent a variety of professions, age groups, and physical abilities, as well as ethnic and cultural backgrounds.

Blood Donation

Every day, blood is needed in hospitals and emergency treatment facilities to care for patients who undergo surgery or suffer from disease or traumatic injury.

West Nebraska Blood Center, a hospital-based donor center licensed by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), draws approximately 3,000 units of blood per year, which are transfused to approximately 880 panhandle patients in need.

Where is the blood used?

The blood drawn at the Blood Center is used to supply blood to Regional West Medical Center and other hospitals throughout the Nebraska panhandle.
