Emergency Response Care Awarded Memorial Donation
Scottsbluff, NE - Emergency Response Care of Sidney was honored recently by the family of James (Jim) Van Anne, a longtime resident of Dalton, NE. The. Van Anne family chose to honor the group with memorial donations because of the care provided to Van Anne when he was transported by Emergency Response Care. The Van Anne donation specifically instructed the Emergency Response Care staff to purchase something to make their jobs as emergency medical providers easier or more enjoyable. The only stipulation was that the donation or items purchased should remain in Cheyenne County.
The Emergency Response Care crew elected, as a group, to purchase an additional tool for airway management called a Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) system. The new equipment has proven to be less invasive and has shown the potential for better outcomes in appropriate patients than traditional treatment techniques. The portable CPAP system is expected to be a valuable addition for the only advanced life support team serving Cheyenne and neighboring counties.
