Learn about High Blood Pressure at the Diabetes Support Group Meeting
SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., – Plan to attend the upcoming Diabetes Support Group meeting to learn more about high blood pressure. One in every three Americans has high blood pressure, and only half have it under control. High blood pressure can cause heart attacks, strokes, chronic and long lasting heart failure, and kidney disease.
Kara Lemoine, RN, BSN, Education Coordinator in Cardiac Rehab at Regional West, will explain basic information about blood pressure: what the numbers mean, when to worry, and taking preventative measures to help maintain lower blood pressure.
The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24 in Medical Plaza South, meeting room 1202. The meeting is free of charge and open to all.
