New Providers Welcomed to Regional West
SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., – Regional West is pleased to welcome four new providers to its medical staff.
Song “Joseph” Hong, MD, is a physician at Regional West Physicians Clinic-Pulmonology, Critical Care. He and his colleagues provide compassionate care for patients with pulmonary disease and critical illness using state-of-the-art clinical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment services. Dr. Hong earned a medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, and completed internal medicine residency training at Beth Israel Medical Center, New York, NY. He completed a Fellowship in Pulmonary, Critical Care, & Sleep Medicine; Texas A&M University Health Science Center, Temple, Texas. Dr. Hong is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care Medicine, and Sleep Medicine. Physician referrals are required.
Michaela Katz, PA-C, is a physician assistant at Regional West Physicians Clinic-Surgery, Vascular Diagnostics. The practice is dedicated to providing comprehensive surgical services for the panhandle of Nebraska and eastern Wyoming. She earned a Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant studies from Duke University School of Medicine, Durham, NC, and is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
Haley Nielsen, DNP, APRN-FNP, sees patients at Regional West Physicians Clinic-Internal Medicine. She and her colleagues are involved in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult conditions and disease. She earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in Nursing from the University of Wyoming, Laramie, and is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

Laura Perry, DNP, APRN-FNP, sees patients at Regional West Physicians Clinic-Family Medicine, Scottsbluff. Regional West’s Family Medicine providers care for every member of the family, including newborns, children, teens, adults, and seniors. She earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in Nursing from the University of Arizona, Tempe, and is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
