Regional West Cancer Services to Offer Breast Cancer Survivorship Program
SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., – Like cardiac rehabilitation after a heart attack, many women need and want support and information following breast cancer treatment.
Regional West Cancer Services will offer survivorship support through “A Time to Heal” beginning Monday, Jan. 11.
“A Time to Heal” is a free 12-week survivorship program designed to help women regain their physical, emotional, and spiritual health following breast cancer treatment.
Research and experience have shown that participation in “A Time to Heal” may make a positive difference in the well-being of breast cancer survivors. Participation in the program may help survivors not only survive, but thrive, after breast cancer treatment.
The group will meet for approximately two to three hours every week for 12 weeks. Weekly instruction includes topics such as building resilience, focus on healing, nutrition, facing our fears, regaining, and maintaining strength, and how to survive after treatment.
