Regional West Foundation Golf Ball Drop Winners Announced
SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., ― Kelley Bean Co. was a double winner at the fifth annual Regional West Foundation golf ball drop at Scotts Bluff Country Club during the Foundation’s annual golf scramble.
Of the six balls purchased by the company, the lucky number 15 ball dropped closest to the mark to win the golf ball drop’s $1,000 grand prize. That wasn’t the end of their luck; another ball then landed closest to the X, winning the $500 second-place prize.
The real bonus was when the company donated the prize money back to the Regional West Foundation.
Proceeds from the golf scramble support projects that are essential to the quality and growth of Regional West Medical Center.
“The Foundation is able to provide new technology, building improvements, and health education scholarships because of our donors and events like this. Everyone involved, including the golfers, ball drop participants, sponsors, and golf committee enjoyed this fundraiser,” said Julie Marshall, Regional West Foundation director of development. “We’re especially grateful to Nebraska Machinery for providing the boom so we could drop the balls from 135 feet.”
MediRevv returned as a major event sponsor. Thirty-eight teams participated in the 32nd annual golf scramble and numerous businesses and individuals contributed to the event as hole sponsors. Dairy Queen Grill & Chill was the hole-in-one sponsor again this year.
“This is a fun event to raise money in support of Regional West Health Services. We’re grateful to the golfers who took part and the many businesses that helped to sponsor the event,” said John Massey, Regional West Foundation chair.
Regional West Foundation’s mission is to serve the regional community in cooperation with Regional West Medical Center by seeking and administering donations in support of quality healthcare services and education.
