Regional West To Host Volunteer Recruitment Fair

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., ― People who are interested in making a difference in the lives of Regional West’s patients are invited to stop by Regional West’s Volunteer Recruitment Fair from 1 to 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 13, and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Sept. 14 in Regional West’s Education Center.

Attendees are invited to enjoy a popcorn bar and learn more about the volunteer opportunities available at Regional West, including new areas such as Regional West’s Cancer Services and a newborn onesies and blankets craft group. Please enter through the main entrance, Door 2, at 4021 Avenue B, Scottsbluff.

Regional West’s volunteers have been a proud part of the hospital’s heritage for almost 75 years. Volunteers help in areas such as the information desks, The Gift Shop, and Regional West’s Transfer Center. The Volunteers & Friends organization is dedicated to furthering the education of future healthcare professions in the region through annual scholarships for students attending Western Nebraska Community College, the University of Nebraska Medical Center, and Regional West Medical Center’s School of Radiologic Technology.

Service Excellence and Volunteer Services Director Ally Berggren praised Regional West’s volunteers, noting their commitment to lend a helping hand throughout the facility.

“The volunteers are one of many heroes at Regional West. Each day, our volunteers step up and step in to help where needed,” she said. “They truly go above and beyond the call of duty on a regular basis.”
