Regional West Opens New Inpatient Dialysis Unit
SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., – Regional West Medical Center opened its new inpatient dialysis unit on July 3. The unit was added to provide acute inpatient dialysis treatment for hospitalized patients. The expanded facility is located near the Surgery Department for more convenient access and greater patient privacy. The new unit includes two beds. A third dialysis bed is located in the Intensive Care Unit.
With the addition of two nephrologists to the medical staff: Amanullah Bilal, MD, and Jonathan McNeely, MD, Regional West now offers the region’s most advanced dialysis care.
The new dialysis unit features Fresenius® hemodialysis equipment that will allow staff to closely monitor health care status throughout the process. The staff, including a lead nurse with more than 13 years of dialysis experience, is highly trained and skilled in providing safe, quality care.
