Regional West Physicians Clinic To Welcome Four Physicians In August
SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., – Regional West Physicians Clinic is pleased to announce that four physicians will join its staff in August.
Two former area students are returning to western Nebraska as physicians to join Regional West Physicians Clinic-Anesthesiology.
Brent Ellison, MD, a graduate of Gering High School, was raised in Gering and graduated with High Distinction from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He attended Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine, Des Moines, Iowa, and the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Medicine, Omaha, Neb.; from which he earned his medical degree. He completed his anesthesiology internship and residency at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, Va. He and his wife Amy (Manasek), also a Gering High School graduate and now a registered nurse, have two children: Julie and Wesley.
Abel Luksan, MD, was raised in Iowa and eastern Nebraska and graduated from Blair High School, Blair, Neb. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in biology at Chadron State College then attended Midland Lutheran College where he completed the respiratory therapy program through Immanuel Medical Center, Omaha, Neb.
Luksan earned his medical degree at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, Neb., and did an internship at Broadlawns Medical Center, Des Moines, Iowa. He completed his residency in anesthesiology and perioperative medicine at the University of Vermont-Fletcher Allen Healthcare, Burlington, Vt. He and his wife, Mesha, a pediatric nurse practitioner who is originally from Lincoln, Neb., have two sons, Isaac and Brodie.
Masumi Fottral, DO, will join Regional West Physicians Clinic-Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. Dr. Fottral completed her undergraduate education at Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She graduated from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, Erie, Pa. and recently completed her residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio, Texas.
Julian Henley, MD, who is board-certified in otolaryngology and cosmetic surgery, will join Regional West Physicians Clinic-Ear, Nose, Throat, Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Henley completed his undergraduate education at Harvard University, Cambridge, Mass., and earned his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, N.Y. He completed a residency program in surgery at Harvard Medical School-Beth Israel Hospital, then completed his otorhinolaryngology residency at the University of California San Francisco–Moffit.
Dr. Henley completed a fellowship in biomedical engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Throughout his career, he has received numerous academic appointments, including serving as Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology at Yale University School of Medicine and as a Clinical Fellow in Surgery at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Henley and his wife, Kari, have six children.
