Regional West Physicians Clinic-Women’s Center To Host Bimonthly Postpartum Support Group
SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., ― New mothers in the region can soon get additional support through Regional West Physicians Clinic-Women’s Center’s bimonthly postpartum support group.
Brooke Raines, LIMHP, LPC, PMH-C, a practitioner in the Women’s Center who specializes in women’s mental health, will host meetings on the second and fourth Monday of each month. The first meeting is set for Monday, April 8, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Women’s Center reception area. Mothers who are zero to 12 months postpartum are invited to talk about their experiences and learn about tools and resources to help navigate motherhood. Babies who are not yet crawling or walking are welcome to attend.
The group plans to cover topics such as self-care in motherhood, navigating expectations, and relationship dynamics. Though the journey of parenthood has highs and lows, Raines said the support group can help mothers connect with other women who are traveling similar paths.
“Whether you’re experiencing stress and anxiety or simply adjusting to the new realities of being a parent, you’re not alone,” she said. “This group provides a safe space where you can make friends and get extra support.”
