Registration is Open for Air Link Education Conference
SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., ― Area first responders, emergency medical response personnel, and healthcare providers are invited to join the Air Link flight team for a day of learning and hands-on activities at the Oct. 28 Education Conference. There is no cost to attend the conference and attendees will receive continuing education hours.
The conference will be held at Regional West’s Education Center, with presentations beginning at 8 a.m. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Presentations are designed to bring awareness to current issues in emergency and trauma medicine and to focus participants on skills needed in everyday practice. The event includes presentations from regional medical professionals, and covers topics such as burns, shock index, situational awareness, and cardiac arrest to PCI. Hands-on skills include neonatal resuscitation simulation, ventilator management, trauma simulation, and pediatric simulation.
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and nursing contact hours will be provided upon conference completion. Nurses will receive eight Contact Hours from the Air & Surface Transport Nurses Association, Certificate # 2023-29. ASTNA (Air & Surface Transport Nurses Association), an approved provider for the California Board of Registered Nursing CEP 13575. EMS credit is provided through the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).
Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification is available for $45 and will be signed off the day of the conference. The class has an online component (prior to the conference) and a hands-on check off that will be provided by Rebecca Fowler of Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children.
