Three New Physicians and One Nurse Practitioner Welcomed to Regional West

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., ― Regional West’s medical team recently welcomed three new physicians and one nurse practitioner.

Matthew Katus, MD, is a physician at Regional West Medical Center-Laboratory Services through Western Pathology Consultants, PC. Regional West Laboratory Services provides a comprehensive menu of clinical, anatomic, and cytologic testing services to help support medical decisions, while offering a full range of clinical laboratory services to a diverse clientele of healthcare providers.

Dr. Katus earned a medical degree as an officer in the United States Air Force at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, and completed surgical pathology residency training at the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio, Texas. He is board certified in Pathology.

John LoMonaco, MD, FACS, is a physician at Regional West Physicians Clinic-Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. The practice is dedicated to offering comprehensive, innovative care for reconstructive surgery while providing confidentiality and professionalism. 

Dr. LoMonaco earned a medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston, and completed general surgery residency training and a plastic surgery fellowship at the same institution. He served as full time faculty at the medical school for two years and directed the plastic surgery program at Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital, Houston. Dr. LoMonaco is board certified in Plastic Surgery.

Daryl McLaren, MD, is a physician at Regional West Physicians Clinic-Emergency Medicine. As Nebraska’s only Level II Trauma Center west of Kearney, Regional West serves as a regional referral center for western Nebraska, eastern Wyoming, southern South Dakota, and northern Colorado. With expert surgeons and specialists available 24/7, Regional West offers the region’s most technologically advanced, complete emergency and trauma care.

Dr. McLaren earned a medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine, Salt Lake, and completed emergency medicine residency training at Allegheny General Hospital Emergency Medicine Program, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is board certified in Emergency Medicine.

Jennifer Boxberger, DNP, sees patients at Regional West Physicians Clinic-Urgent Care. Urgent Care serves the community’s healthcare needs with the convenience of walk-in appointments and onsite X-ray and lab capabilities. Boxberger earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Northern Colorado, Greeley, and is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
