Every family looks forward to the birth of a healthy newborn. Unfortunately, in some cases unexpected difficulties arise along the way and your baby will need to be admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Regional West’s NICU is an eight-bed special care nursery located in the Birth and Infant Care Center that provides highly-specialized, around-the-clock care for premature and critically ill infants who have problems such as breathing disorders or infections.

Spacious rooms, state-of-the-art equipment, trained nursing staff, and a calming environment are all part of making the birthing experience at the Birth and Infant Care Center a positive experience.

Regional West is proud to offer the only birthing center in the region staffed by obstetricians, pediatricians, and specially trained nurses.

At the Dorwart Cancer Care Center, we focus on our patients' needs through services offering the latest in diagnosis, treatment and support-all in a warm, caring environment. The approximately 7,500 square foot facility represents a team effort of physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals dedicated to the needs of cancer patients in the southern panhandle of Nebraska and northeastern Colorado.
