Rehabilitation Medicine

Specialists In Physical Medicine And Rehabilitation

Physiatry, otherwise known as physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R), is the medical specialty dedicated to treating illness or injury that affects how we move. Our goal is to restore maximum function lost through injury, illness, or disabling conditions by treating the whole person, not just a condition. Conditions may include brain injury, stroke, back pain, sports injury, workplace injury, spinal cord injury, neck pain, or arthritis.

Speech/Language Pathology

Patients who have suffered a brain injury or tumor, disease, or stroke may work with a speech/language pathologist to regain the ability to speak, put their thoughts into a sentence, or swallow.
