Diabetes Care Center Support Group Presents “Navigating the Insurance And Medicare Maze”
SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., – With healthcare reform comes confusion for many patients with diabetes.
Anne Bowman, RPh, pharmacist at Community Pharmacy at Regional West, and Don Graham, RPH, manager at Walgreens Pharmacy, will be guest speakers at the Regional West Physician’s Clinic Diabetes Support Group on Tuesday, March 25. The support group meets in the South Medical Plaza, Room 1202, from 6 to 7 p.m.
The pharmacists will explain how to navigate the new health care regulations regarding diabetes care. Topics will include insurance requirements including self-blood glucose monitoring frequency; the importance of logging blood glucose levels and regulations on filling medications; insulin, glucometers, and strip prescriptions. The meeting will be an open question and answer session.
